mwa Associates <br /> I1433 North Market Boulevard • Sacramento California 95834-1943 • (916)928-3300• Fax(916)928-3341 <br /> SEP 16 1994 September 14, 1994 <br /> ENVIRONMENTAL HEALTH <br /> Ms Diane M Hinson PERMITISERVICES <br /> San Joaquin County Public Health Services <br /> Environmental Health Division <br /> 445 North San Joaquin Street <br /> P O Box 388 <br /> Stockton, CA 95201 <br />' Subject ARCO Service Station No 760, located at 225 South Cherokee Lane, Lodi and <br /> ARCO Service Station No. 548, located at 7 , Stockton, <br />' California I ca �Z Fr�,,,,.,r►�n.� C.h...-_� <br /> Ms Hinson <br /> At the request of ARCO Products Company (ARCO), EMCON Associates (EMCON) has <br /> evaluated information/data gathered during site investigations conducted at ARCO service station <br /> No 760 (Lodi site) and No 548 (Stockton site) in an effort to prioritize which site warrants the <br /> next available San Joaquin County designated ARCO vapor extraction treatment unit The <br /> evaluation was requested by San Joaquin County Public Health Services, Environmental Health <br /> Division (PHS/EHD) in the meeting held on August 9, 1994 at the office of PHS/EHD, and <br /> confirmed in PHS/EHD's letter dated August 29, 1994, stating further evaluation is necessary at <br /> each site to determine the site's prioritization to obtain the vapor extraction treatment unit The <br /> Ivapor extraction treatment unit has been purchased by ARCO and has been designated for <br /> remediation at ARCO sites located in San Joaquin County The treatment unit is currently being <br />' assembled and should be ready for delivery in the fourth quarter of 1994 <br /> The evaluation included calculating the total estimated hydrocarbon mass in soil, reviewing <br />' groundwater gradient and flow directions, estimating the permeability of subsurface materials <br /> containing hydrocarbons, and identifying water supply wells in the area Data used for the <br /> evaluation of the two ARCO sites consisted of boring logs, soil and groundwater laboratory <br />' results, cross sections, isoconcentration and flow direction maps, and a well survey This <br /> information was gathered from reports generated for ARCO, which have been previously <br /> submitted to PHS/EHD The results of the evaluation are presented below <br /> 1 <br /> 1 <br /> f <br />
