Hammer Lane
Stockton, CA
San Joaquin County Public Health Services, Environmental Health Division (PHS/EHD)
has reviewed the "Preliminary Site Assessment Report" dated February 12, 1993
submitted by RESNA Industries, Inc. and has the following comments.
A survey of wells within 2,000 feet of the site shall be initiated and included in your next
report. This will identify any gradient influences and possible contaminant migration
pathways.
The soil and groundwater contamination shall be physically defined in order to design a
proper remediation plan. This further definition should be accomplished by installing
additional monitoring wells. Placement of these monitoring wells should be based on
information obtained from additional water level measurements and gradient
determination. In addition, the existing monitoring wells should be sampled to confirm
the results from the December 21, 1992 sampling event.
A workplan shall be submitted to PHS/EHD by May 10, 1993 to further define the
lateral and vertical extent of soil and groundwater contamination.
Pursuant to Section 2652(d) of the Underground Storage Tank Regulations (California
Code of Regulations, Title 23, Chapter 16) a quarterly monitoring report shall be
submitted to Public Health Services, Environmental Health Division and Central Valley
Regional Water Quality Control Board (CVRWQCB) until the investigation and cleanup
of the site is deemed adequate. The report is to show the:
-status of investigation and cleanup activities including the results of all
investigations completed to date;
-proposed continuing or-next phase of investigation;
A Division of San Joaquin County Health Care Services
