As you know, the only analyte reported in a water sample <br /> collected,from the Caltrans wellonMay 24,,2000 was tent butyl alcohol (TBA) at 11 micrograms per <br /> liter(µg/L) (detection limit of l0µglL) Attempts to collect confirmation samples on June 13,i2000 <br /> and during the.site quarterly monitoring activities on July 14, 2000 were not successful because the <br /> well pump was not operational. A July 24, 2000 San Joaquin County Public Health Services letter <br /> requested confirmation sampling of this well prior to planned destruction activities. <br /> Based on your voice mail message of earlier today and our subsequent discussion with Andy Stephens <br /> of Stephens Construction Company,the pump in the Caltrans well is now operational. Confirmation <br /> sampling of the Caltranswell is scheduled For Friday, July„28, 2000. We-understand-tliat Bob <br /> i <br /> Highfield of Stephens Construction will meet our technician onsite during sampling activities in case <br /> of pump problems. <br /> Oakland, CA _ The well will be sampled by running water from the hose bib for 30 minutes and filling the sample <br /> San Ramon, CA <br /> 5 an a m a, c A containers directly from the hose bib.
