(RESNA) has prepared this work
plan to evaluate soil and ground water conditions at the subject site. The purpose of the work is
to evaluate whether residual hydrocarbons are present in soil and whether ground water beneath
the site has been impacted by hydrocarbons. The work will be conducted in conjunction with the
anticipated divestment of the site, and is not in response to a known or a suspected hydrocarbon
release. The scope of work consists of drilling soil borings, completing the borings as ground
water monitoring wells if ground water is encountered, sampling soil and ground water, sending
the samples to a laboratory for analyses, and preparing a report. The location of the site is shown
on the Site Vicinity Map (Plate 1).
RESNA will perform the following work for this investigation:
SITE-SPECIFIC HEALTH AND SAFETY PLAN / BACKGROUND REVIEW /
PERMITTING
RESNA has prepared a Site-Specific Health and Safety Plan as required by the Occupational
Health and Safety Administration (OSHA) Standard "Hazardous Waste Operations and
Emergency Response" guidelines (29 CFR 1910.120). The Site-Specific Health and Safety Plan
was prepared by RESNA personnel, following a review of site conditions and any existing Site-
Specific Health and Safety Plans for the site with the Project Manager. The document will be
reviewed by RESNA personnel and subcontractors performing work at the site. A copy of the
Site-Specific Health and Safety Plan will be kept at the work site and will be available for
reference by appropriate parties during the work. The RESNA geologist will act as the Site
Safety Officer. A copy of the Site Safety Plan is attached.
RESNA will conduct a technical review of pertinent information associated with the site. In
addition, we have attached appropriate forms required by the San Joaquin Public Health
Services,Environmental Health Division, including a Site Mitigation Acknowledgement/Request
for Services Form, a request for priority review form, and well permits.
