(Stantec) has prepared this Well Destruction Summary Report <br /> on behalf of Atlantic Richfield Company (ARC), a'BP Affiliated Company for 76 (Former BP) <br /> Service Station No. 11193 (site). In a correspondence dated October 12, 2011, the San Joaquin <br /> County Environmental Health Department (SJCEHD) granted 'No Further Action' status to the <br /> site with a directive to destroy the well network associated with the site for the purpose of case <br /> E closure (Attachment A). Between December.5, 2011 and February 2, 2012, all monitoring and <br /> I remediation wells:associated with the site Were destroyed under,the supervision of a SJCEHD <br /> inspector, in accordance with county and .state regulations. A summary of the well destruction <br /> activities is included below. <br />`. SITE LOCATION <br /> Former ARCO Service Station No. 11193 is located on the southwest corner of West Hammer <br /> Lane and Kelley Drive in Stockton, CA (Figure 1). The current station configuration consists of a <br /> convenience store, three (two gasoline.and one diesel) 10,0.00-gallon, double-walled, fiberglass <br /> underground storage.tanks (USTs), two' dispenser islands, and associated product lines. The <br /> majority of the subject property is paved with asphalt and concrete. Common landscaping <br /> surrounds the property' boundaries. The site is bound. to the north by West Hammer Lane, <br /> beyond which is a commercial complex; to the east. by Kelley Drive, beyond which is a <br /> commercial.complex; to the south by an alley, beyond which is a self-service car wash; and to <br /> the west by an alley, beyond which is an active ARCO service station (Figure 2). <br /> FIELD ACTIVITIES <br /> Prior to well destruction activities, Stantec obtained well,destruction permits from the SJCEHD <br /> and an Encroachment permit from the City of Stockton on October 26, 2012. On November 23, <br /> 2011, Stantec staff supervised Cruz Brothers Locators, of Scotts Valley, California conduct a <br /> utility survey to identify underground utilities in the vicinity of:the wells. <br /> 4 <br />
