The <br /> purpose of the proposed work is to address the request by the San Joaquin County Environmental i <br /> Health Department (SJCEHD) in a letter dated September 17, 2007 for the removal of monitoring <br /> well MW-12 due to road improvements along Kelly Drive, adjacent to the site (Attachment A). <br /> Additionally, installation of one deep onsite well will take place, per SECOR's Work Plan for Vertical <br /> and Lateral Delineation dated August 30, 2007. The two proposed off-site groundwater monitoring <br /> wells stated in the workplan will be installed at a later date when road improvements on Kelly Drive <br /> are completed. <br /> PROPOSED SCOPE OF WORK I <br /> The proposed scope of work will consist of the destruction of well MW-12 due to road improvements <br /> along Kelly Drive and the installation of one on-site deep groundwater monitoring well(MW-13)that <br /> will be completed in the next water-bearing zone in the vicinity of the underground storage tanks <br /> (USTs). A summary of the planned field work is presented below. Field and laboratory procedures <br /> are provided in Attachment B. M <br /> " <br /> • Health and Safety Plan (HASP). As required by the Occupational Health and " <br /> Safety Administration (OSHA) Standard "Hazardous Waste Operations and <br /> Emergency Response" guidelines (29 CFR 1910.120), and by the California <br /> Occupational Health and Safety Administration (Cal-OSHA)"Hazardous Waste i <br /> Operations and Emergency Response" guidelines (CCR Title 8, Section 5192), M <br /> SECOR will update the current site-specific HASP prior to the commencement of <br /> fieldwork.
