(GR)has prepared this Addendum to our <br /> Work Plan For Soil Sampling FdUawing Product Piping Removal,dated August 21, 1998(work plea)_ In addition <br /> to upgrading the existing product piping,as outlined in the referenced work plan.Tosco will also remove and replace <br /> the existing gasoline underground storage tanks(USTs)at the site. <br /> In addition to proposed sampling oudiued in the work plan, GR will observe the removal of the USTa and collect <br /> compliance samples from the UST excavation in accordance with San Joaquin County Public Health Services <br /> (SJCPHS) guidelines. UST locations or shown on Figure 2 of the work plan- Compliance soil samples will be <br /> collected from the base of the excavation at both ends of each tank. If groundwater is encountered in the UST <br /> excavation,a grab groundwater sample will be collected and soil samples will be collected from the sidewalls above <br /> groundwater. Soil and groundwater samples will be collected,handled, and analyzed acing the methods outlined in <br /> the work plan. <br /> If either subjective field evidence or analytical data indicate soil beneath the site has been impacted by hydrocarbons, <br /> Tosoo may elect to excavate the impacted soil. GR will observe the excavation activities. Confirmation samples will <br /> be collected from die lateral limits of the excavation and sualyses performed in accordance with SJCrM guidelines. <br /> Excavated soil and backfill material will be stockpiled at the site pmding characiedmtiom and disposal per the methods <br /> ou dined in the work plan. <br /> Upon completion of all environmental activities associated with the UST and product piping removal,and receipt of <br /> all data,GR will prepare a report documenting the sampling activities and analytical results.
