S [EC ® R <br /> Ms Victoria L McCartney <br /> March 3, 2005 <br /> Page 5 <br /> QUARTERLY MONITORING AND SAMPLING STATUS REPORT <br /> Completed Activities — Fourth Quarter 2004 <br /> • Performed groundwater monitoring and sampling of wells on December 23, 2004 <br /> • Prepared and submitted quarterly groundwater monitoring report <br /> • Prepared and submitted quarterly remedial performance summary <br /> • Prepared and submitted quarterly site status report <br /> • Coordinated and scheduled the installation of three off-site wells per SECOR's <br /> March 29, 2004 Addendum to Revised Interim Remedial Action Plan, Work Plan for <br /> Ozone Sparge Well Installation, and Additional Off-Site Assessment, which was <br /> approved by the San Joaquin County Environmental Health Division in <br /> correspondence dated June 1, 2004 <br /> Discussion <br /> On December 23, 2004, SECOR measured groundwater levels within and collected <br /> groundwater samples from eleven wells (MW-1 R, MW-2R, MW-3 through MW-10, and VW- <br /> 1) Depth to water measurements and calculated groundwater elevation data are included <br /> . in Table 1 Groundwater elevation data were used to construct a potentiometric surface <br /> map, which is included as Figure 2 During the fourth quarter 2004, the direction of <br /> groundwater flow was to the northeast, at a hydraulic gradient of 0 001 foot per foot (ft/ft) <br /> Historical groundwater gradient data are presented in Table 2 Groundwater elevations <br /> increased by an average 0 33 foot from the previous quarter SECOR's standard <br /> procedures for groundwater monitoring and sampling and equipment decontamination are <br /> included In Attachment 1 Field data sheets showing recorded depth to groundwater levels <br /> are included in Attachment 2 <br /> Groundwater samples were submitted for analysis of TPHg, BTEX, fuel oxygenates (MtBE, <br /> ethyl tertiary butyl ether [EtBE], di-isopropyl ether [DIPE], TAME, TBA, and ethanol), and <br /> lead scavengers 1,2 di-chloroethane (1,2-DCA) and 1,2-dibromoethane (EDB) by <br /> Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) Method 82608 Samples were also analyzed for <br /> TPHd with and without silica gel clean-up by EPA Method 8015M Field and laboratory <br /> procedures for sample collection are presented in Attachment 1 The certified laboratory <br /> analytical report, chain-of-custody documentation, field data sheets, and a waste disposal <br /> bill of lading form documenting the transfer of purge water into a polyethylene storage tank <br /> for disposal are included in Attachment 2 <br /> BTEX, DIPE, TAME, EtBE, ethanol, 1,2-DCA, and EDB were not detected in groundwater <br /> samples A summary of petroleum hydrocarbons and fuel oxygenates detected in site wells <br /> is presented below <br /> 1 1C0nocoPhik1ips\Retad Sites1111931QMR14QMR04 Final doc <br />
