This report
summarizes chemical data collected since 1992 including analytical results associated with '
samples recently collected on April 23, 2002.
Water level and analytical results for this monitoring event are summarized in Figure 1 and on
Table 1 in Appendix A. Based on the contoured elevations, water generally flowed toward the k
northeast. During this monitoring event, only well VW-1 reported more than 100 micrograms per
E
liter (µg/L) of benzene, with a concentration of 379 µg/L. More than 10,000 µg/L methyl tert G
butyl ether(MTBE) was reported in wells MW-2R and VW-1, with a maximum of 61,700 Jig/L"'-
reported in well VW-1.
Benzene and MTBE concentration trends and water levels in well MW-2/MW-2R are shown in
1 Figure 2. Analytical results below reporting limits are plotted at on half-the detection limit (open
symbol). Benzene and MTBE concentrations show a general decreasing concentration trend
Oakland, CA during recent sampling events. t 't S 1 A 4—
San
San Ramon, CA •
Sonoma, CA O
Cambria t
Environmental
T—hnofogy,Inc.
1144 651h Street i
Suite B
Oakland,CA 94608
Tel(510)420-0700
Fax(510)420-9170
