CAMBRIA <br /> CPT INVESTIGATION WORK PLAN <br /> BP Oil Site No 11193 <br /> 3202 West Hammer Lane <br /> Stockton, California <br /> Cambria Project No 852-1530-1 <br /> August 12, 1999 <br /> INTRODUCTION <br /> Cambria Environmental Technology, Inc (Cambria) is submitting this work plan for a cone <br /> penetration test(CPT)investigation at the above-referenced BP Oil Company(BP) site During recent <br /> underground storage tank replacement activities,petroleum hydrocarbons and methyl tert-butyl ether <br /> (MTBE) were detected in soil and groundwater beneath the site The work plan was requested in a <br /> July 13, 1999 San Joaquin County Environmental Health Division (SJCEHD) letter The site <br /> background, our proposed scope of work, and schedule are described below <br /> �i <br /> SITE BACKGROUND <br /> Site Descntptwn The site is an active 76-branded gasoline retail outlet located at the southwest corner <br /> of Hammer Lane and Kelly Drive in Stockton, California (see Figure 1) BP acquired the property <br /> from Mobil Oil Corporation in 1989 In 1994, BP transferred the property to TOSCO Marketing <br /> Company and has not operated the facility since that time <br /> The site is located in a mixed commercial and residential area An ARCO-branded service station is <br /> located west of the site <br /> Previous Work One vapor extraction well and seven groundwater monitoring wells have been <br /> installed at the site (see Figure 2) The vapor extraction well screens from approximately 7 to <br /> 17 feet below ground surface (bgs) and is located immediately north of the tanks Wells MW-1 <br /> through MW-5 are located onsite, and wells MW-6 and MW-7 are located offsite The groundwater <br /> monitoring wells screen from 14-19 5 feet bgs to 32-35 feet bgs Groundwater monitoring has taken <br /> place since 1992 <br /> 1 <br />
