i <br /> 6ETTL ER RYAN INC. <br /> Apn1 12, 1999 <br /> Mr David Camille <br /> Tosca Marketing Company <br /> 2000 Crow Canyon Place, Suite 400 <br /> San Ramon, California 94583 <br /> Subject: Underground Storage Tank and Product Piping Replacement Report for Tosco <br /> 76 Branded Facility No. 11193, 3202 West Hammer Lane, Stockton, California. <br /> Dear Mr Camille <br /> At the request of Tosco Marketing Company, Gettler-Ryan Inc (GR) conducted a soil investigation <br /> during underground storage tank (UST) and product piping replacement activities at the subject site <br /> The purpose was to assess if petroleum hydrocarbons have impacted the soil near the gasoline USTs <br /> and beneath the product lines GR's scope of work included observing removal of the USTs, obtaining <br /> permits and observing the destruction of one groundwater monitoring well, collecting soil and <br /> groundwater samples from the UST pit, collecting soil samples from the former product piping <br /> • trenches, and from the soil stockpiles for disposal characterization, collecting groundwater samples for <br /> characterization of discharged water from gasoline UST pit, submitting soil and groundwater samples <br /> for analysis, coordinating disposal of soil stockpiles, and preparing a report of the field activities and <br /> analytical results Construction activities were performed by Paradiso Mechanical, Inc (Paradiso) of <br /> San Leandro, California <br /> SITE DESCRIPTION <br /> The subject site is a service station located on the southwest comer of the intersection of West Hammer <br /> Lane and Kelley Drive in Stockton, California (Figure 1) Aboveground facilities consist of a building, <br /> canopy and two dispenser islands Two new gasoline USTs share a common pit at the location of the <br /> former USTs, east of the existing building Six groundwater monitoring wells and one vapor <br /> extraction well are present at and in the vicinity of the site Pertinent site features are shown on Figure <br /> 2 <br /> FIELD WORK <br /> Sampling was performed by GR personnel in accordance with GR's Field Methods and Procedures <br /> (attached) All soil and groundwater samples collected during this investigation were submitted under <br /> chain-of-custody to Sequoia Analytical Laboratory located in Walnut Creek, California (ELAP #1271) <br /> and Sacramento, California (ELAP #1624) Analytical methods and results are summarized in Tables <br /> 1 and 2 Soil sample locations are shown on Figure 2 Copies of the laboratory analytical reports and <br /> chain-of-custody records are attached Representatives of the San Joaquin County Public Health <br /> 14� 140205 02 <br /> 6747 Sierra Court , Suite J Dublin , California 94568 • { 925 ) 551 - 7555 <br />
