t <br /> a <br /> CAMB RIA <br /> SURFACE WATER AND WATER WELL SURVEY <br /> AND <br /> CPT INVESTIGATION REPORT <br /> BP Oil Site No 11193 <br /> 3202 West Hammer Lane <br /> Stockton, California <br /> Cambria Project No 852-1503-6 <br /> December 16, 1999 <br /> INTRODUCTION <br /> Cambria Environmental Technology, Inc (Cambria) is pleased to submit this report which <br /> describes the results of a surface water and water well survey, and cone penetration test (CPT) <br /> investigation at the above-referenced BP Oil Company (BP) site During underground storage <br /> tank replacement activities by TOSCO Marketing Company (TOSCO) to December 1998, <br /> petroleum hydrocarbons and methyl tert-butyl ether (MTBE) were detected in soil and <br /> groundwater beneath the site In an August 26, 1999 facsimile, the San Joaquin County <br /> Environmental Health Division (SJCEHD) conditionally approved our August 12, 1999 CPT <br /> Investigation Work Plan for site activities The site background, surface water and water well <br /> survey, CPT investigation activities and results, conclusions, and recommendations are described <br /> below <br /> SITE BACKGROUND <br /> Site Description The site is an active 76-branded gasoline retail outlet located at the southwest <br /> corner of Hammer Lane and Kelly Drive in Stockton, California (see Figure 1) BP acquired the <br /> property from Mobil Oil Corporation in 1989 In 1994, BP transferred the property to TOSCO <br /> and has not operated the facility since that time <br /> The site is located in a mixed commercial and residential area An ARCO-branded service station <br /> is located immediately west of the site <br /> • <br /> 1 <br />
