It is a great pic if you can wait for 200K file download
http://www.mai)mart.com/scats/hsrun.exe/Single/MapMart New/MapXtreme.htx;start=HS_Handier
Shaw and Woodward Drilling have looked at the logistics of the site with respect to putting in a monitoring well
with permanent conductor casing, at the location of CPT-3.
Last week we discovered the CPT-3 was directly beneath a phone line. The phone line is at 29 to 31 feet off the
ground at that spot There is a low V (voltage) line above it, at—41 feet.above the ground, and a higher V line
above that, at—47 feet above the ground. The drill rig will be at 35ft &6inches"mast up". The driller's and
Shaw's safety protocols require a minimum of 10 feet standoff.
We are trying to contact PG&E to get exact voltages and do some calcs to determine safe minimum standoff for
reasonable weather conditions.
»I am sure we could install the well at a location 15 feet to the south of CPT-3.
We also considered installing the well north of CPT-3. To do this we'd need to close the curb lane of Hammer
Lane for 6 to 8 business days. Even worse, you can see that this is"downstream"of a freeway offramp, so it
would be a major hassle probably involving closure permits with city, county and Caltrans.
Please check with Nuel to see if the proposed plan still meets requirements and let me know!
*****************Internet Email Confidentiality
Footer******************
Privileged/Confidential Information may be contained in this
message.
1/9/2006
