[ `04 <br /> Dear Ms McCartney <br /> NOn behalf of Mr Jim Parkinson, Shaw Environmental, Inc (Shaw) presents the results <br /> of the second quarter 2004 groundwater monitoring event for Parkinson's Hammer I-5 <br /> Arco <br /> SITE BACKGROUND <br /> The site is located at 3250 West Hammer Lane, east of Interstate 5 in Stockton, <br /> California The site is a privately owned Arco-branded service station that has retailed <br />' gasoline fuel for approximately 14 years The site currently includes three 12,000-gallon <br /> capacity gasoline underground storage tanks (USTs) and associated product lines and <br /> dispensers Diesel fuel has never been dispensed at the site <br /> On January 7, 2000, the station began product line upgrades After the removal of <br /> dispenser plumbing, soil impacted by petroleum hydrocarbons was discovered below the <br /> western dispenser islands Soil samples were collected from beneath the dispensers and <br /> talong the product lines at a depth of approximately 3 5 feet below ground surface (bgs) <br /> Remedial activities conducted on January 26, 2000, included removal of approximately <br /> 262 tons of impacted soil in the area below dispenser and product lines Excavation <br /> S <br />' N 1sacDP120041Pg188018800401A 4ab doc Shaw Environmental,Inc <br />
