Ms Vicki McCartney Project 880-040 1 A/0107 <br /> February 3, 2003 <br /> Page 3 <br /> GROUNDWATER MONITORING RESULTS <br /> On January 2, 2003, groundwater samples and depth to water data were collected from <br />' monitoring wells MW-1 through MW-5 Groundwater samples were analyzed for the <br /> presence of Total Petroleum Hydrocarbons as gasoline (TPHg), benzene, toluene, <br /> 1 ethylbenzene, xylenes (BTEX), and for five gasoline oxygenates (MtBE, di-isopropyl ether <br /> [DIPE], ethyl tert-butyl ether [ETBE], tert-amyl methyl ether [TAME], and tert-butyl <br /> alcohol [TBA]) using U S Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) Methods 8015, 602, <br /> and 8260B (Modified) Field and laboratory procedures are presented as Attachment A <br /> Certified analytical reports, chain-of-custody documentation, and field data sheets are <br /> presented as Attachment B <br /> Fourth Quarter Groundwater Monitoring Results <br /> Groundwater elevation at the site increased approximately 0 55 feet since the previous <br /> sampling event conducted on October 7, 2002 During the first quarter groundwater flow <br /> was to the northeast at an average gradient of 0 001 ft/ft, which is consistent with previous <br /> sampling events Groundwater elevation data are presented in Table I A groundwater <br /> elevation contour map based on the October 7, 2002, data is shown on Figure 1 i a <br /> sr au <br /> TPHg were reported in well MW-1 at concentrations of 4,500 micrograms per liter (pg/L) JRn�ov3 <br /> Unidentified mpounds in the TPHg range were reported in well MW-3 at concentrations <br /> jof 150 gg/L Benzene was reported in wells MW-1, MW-2, and MW-4 at concentrations of 3 Sti0$ <br /> 1,000, 0 96 and 33 µg/L, respectively MtBE was reported in all wells sampled at <br /> concentrations ranging from 360 pg/L in well MW-3, to 41,000 gg/L in well MW-5 <br /> TAME was reported in well MW-5 at a concentration of 230 ltg/L ITBA was reported ink <br /> wells MW-1 and MW-5 at concentrations of 23,000 and 12,000 µg/L, respectively <br /> Groundwater analytical data are presented in Table 1 A TPHg, benzene, and MtBE <br /> concentration map based on the January 2, 2003, data is shown on Figure 2 <br /> Shaw Environmental,Inc <br /> N lsacdP120031Pg1880\880040]A 3aa doc <br />
