(ATC) has verbally requested groundwater
samples collected at the above-referenced site be analyzed for the five oxygenates methyl
tertiary-butyl ether (MTBE), diisopropyl ether (DIPE), tertiary-amyl methyl ether (TAME),
ethyl tertiary-butyl ether (ETBE), and tertiary-butyl alcohol (TBA). The purpose of analyzing
for the five oxygenates is to check for the breakdown products of MTBE. On October 21,
2005 ATC notified EHD by electronic mail that all monitoring wells associated with this site
will be analyzed for MTBE, TBA, TAME, and total petroleum hydrocarbons as gasoline (TPH-
g) during the first quarter 2006 groundwater monitoring event. EHD approves the analysis of
TPH-g; MTBE, TBA, and TAME for groundwater samples collected from all monitoring wells
associated with this site investigation during the first quarter 2406 groundwater monitoring
event.
Please contact Vicki McCartney at (209) 468-3456 or vmccartncyasjcchd.com if you have
any questions regarding this letter.
Donna Heran, REHS, Director
Environmental Health Department
Victoria L.
