i
i
' working to Restore Nature
' Summary of Results and Discussion
' A summary of the analytical results from current and past well samplings is presented in
Table 1 Based on the water level data for June 21, 1994, (Table 1), RESNA has
interpreted the groundwater gradient and flow directions for the upper and lower aquifers,
' as shown on Plates 3 and 4, respectively In the local upper aquifer, the groundwater level
rose an average of 0 08 foot, ranging from 0 04 foot in well MW-7 to 0.13 foot in well
MW-5 In the local lower aquifer, the groundwater level rose an average of 0 15 foot,
ranging from 010 foot in well MW-2 to 0 20 foot in well MW-3 The apparent groundwater
flow direction in the local upper aquifer is southeasterly at a gradient of approximately 0 006
(Plate 3) The apparent groundwater flow direction in the local lower aquifer is
' southeasterly at a gradient of approximately 0 004 (Plate 4)
Laboratory analyses of the water samples collected from well MW-5 before and after
' pumping on May 5, 1994, (samples MW-5A and MW-513) indicated TPHg and BTEX were
not detected in these samples Laboratory analyses of water samples collected on June 21,
1994, indicated that TPHg and BTEX were not detected in any of the sampled monitoring
wells Wells MW-3 and MW-4 were not sampled because they are located upgradient of
the underground storage tanks, and historically TPHg and BTEX have not been detected
in the groundwater from these wells. The next quarterly groundwater sampling is scheduled
for September 1994
Reporting Requirements
RESNA recommends a that copy this report be forwarded by Quik Stop Markets, Inc, to
the following agencies
Mr Michael Collins, R E H S
Environmental Health Specialist
San Joaquin County Public Health Services
Environmental Health Division
' P 0 Box 2009
Stockton, California 95201
' Ms Elizabeth Thayer
California Regional Water Quality Control Board
Central Valley Region
3443 Routier Road
Sacramento, California 95827-3098
F7132 94/Q24 3
