(GTI),to describe the field procedures and analytical results of soil sampling performed
during the drilling of four soil borings at the subject site on June 1-21 1995.The primary objectives of this
investigation were to obtain site specific soil-data for contaminant fate and transport modeling and to
provide further definition to the extent-of soil contamination beneath the site.
Select soil samples from each boring were analyzed.for TPHGas and BTEX constituents. The subsequent
results obtained from borings SB,12 and SB-13 essentially confirmed those results previously obtained
from borings S13-2 and S13-3,respectively. The results obtained from borings SB-10 and SB-11 helped to
further define the extent.of soil contamination and provided additional information as to the performance
of the former soil vapor extraction(SVE)system in the vicinity,of wells MW-4 and MWr9.
In addition to the TPHGas/BTEX data:collected, select soil samples from each boring.were analyzed for
total organic carbon, dry bulk density, and TCLP extract for BTEX.These data were collected to provide. :.. .
site specific input for contaminant fate and transport modeling and to evaluate the potential for
groundwater contamination by residual concentrations of TPHGas remaining beneath the site.
The results acquired from this investigation are being.used to design an effective-soil and groundwater
remediation plan. It is anticipated that:the remediation plan will be submitted to your agency on or before
August 31, 1995.
If you have any questions or comments,I can be-reached at(5 10) 842-8695. - - --
Sincerely,
