(GTI), to describe the installation and ' 1
sampling of two groundwater monitoring wells on June 29, 1993.
Groundwater monitoring wells MW-12 and MW-13 were installed offsite and downgmdient from
the subject property. Groundwater was encountered at approximately 50 feet below grotind surface
in both wells. Soil samples collecteds from-each well did not detect any TPHGas or BTEX
constituents above the minimum quanritation limits. Dissolved hydrocarbons were detected in
groundwater samples collected from well MW-13. No dissolved hydrocarbons were detected in
groundwater samples from well MW-12. Groundwater was also sampled from monitoring wells
MW-9, -10, and MW-11. The measut,41evels of dissolved hydrocarbons from MW79 and MW-10
were consistent with those detected during previous'sampling events. The measured levels of i
dissolved hydrocarbons in MW-11 were lower than any:previously detected.
i
I am looking forward to our scheduled meeting'on September 15, 1993. The meeting should
provide an opportunity to discuss GTI's latest report in detail as well as, discuss'Chevron's
planned course of action at the subject site.
If you have any questions or comments, I can be reached at(510) 842-8695. it
Sincerely,
Brett L.
