Ms. Mary Meays Page 2 August 7, 1992
Although dissolved hydrocarbons still exist in groundwater, it is evident that the source of
contamination has been effectively removed by the operation of the VETS. As such, the dissolved
hydrocarbon concentrations in the groundwater will now decrease relatively quickly through
natural degradation. I would like to monitor the three wells MW-9, MW-10, and MW-11 for two
additional quarters (3rd and 4th quarter 1992) before submitting a work plan for additional
assessment in order to gather sufficient information to be used in determining the proper location(s)
for additional well(s) to define the extent of dissolved hydrocarbons in the groundwater.
If you have any questions or comments, I can be reached at(510) 842-8658.
Sincerely,
W A:1-0
Clint B.
