EA Engineering has prepared ' <br /> 9 9 P re ar P e 'f <br /> the enclosed Soil and Groundwater Investigation Reports l <br /> (Phases I and II) for the above referenced site. Eight <br /> wells have been installed at the site between November 198';8 <br /> and January 1989 . In January five soil borings were � 1 <br /> drilled and completed as vapor extraction wells. <br /> Hydrocarbons in the soils are limited to the former^, <br /> underground storage tank area. Chevron is currently <br /> awaiting encroachment permits in order to install two ! t <br /> iadditional wells in the bordering streets per the o''riginal <br /> workplan. The additional wells will enable Chevron!1to <br /> delineate the presence of hydrocarbons in the groundwater,'. <br /> 'I <br /> j Based on the results from this investigation, Chevron will' <br /> !t continue to monitor the wells onsite quarterly. A soil vapor <br /> } extraction is also planned for this site.
