FERIAIT/SERVICES
P.O. Box 2009
Stockton, CA 95201
Re: Former Chevron Service Station 9-1918 P
} 45 E. Harding Way, Stockton .
Dear Ms. Hinson;
Attached.are the Soil Vapor Survey and Soil sampling reports for the subject station. `
We have sampled the tank hole bottom to 20 and 25 feet. Presently, the soil4n the tank
hole has not been excavated. We plan to ramp into the tank^hole, excavate to 25' or .less
{ than 10 ppm TPH, and aerate the soil. Our contractor, Oil Equipment'Service,;will be in
touch with your office . to get your o.k. for the Air Pollution Control District. ,The
f `
excavated soil will be placed on:plastic and covered with plastic until aeration permits are
secured. Based onthe results of the Soil Vapor Survey, we believe the contamination to
be confined to the area immediately adjacent to and beneath the former, tank complex.
Samples will be . taken off: the 'walls of the tank hole ,to confirm lateral :extent r of

contamination—
To
s
To determine if there has been any impact on groundwater, 3 soil borings wiWbe installed
per the attached work plan. We plan to install the wells as soon as possible after the tank
hole has been backfilled and soil aerating on site does not obstruct the, well locations.iWe
1 have been in contact with the property owner and may alter the exact well locations to fit
future development of the site. _
If you have any questions, call,Kay Huffman at (415) 838-5302.
Very truly yours, 4
s D.
