ACTIVITIES,MARCH THROUGH SEP'T'EMBER 1990
Depths to water have been monitored quarterly since the wells were installed in 1988. When
sufficient water occurred in the wells, groundwater was sampled and analyzed. In March 1990,
the groundwater elevation was about 30 feet below mean sea`level ('fable 1),and only one well,
MW2 (Figure 1),contained purgeable groundwater. The remaining wells were dry on 21 Sep-
tember and 18 December 1989, and wells MW1, MW7,and MW8 were dry on 12 July 1989.
All eight wells including MW2(Figure 1), were either dry or contained very little water on 28
June and 18 September 1990,making it unfeasible to sample during the second and third quarters
of 1990.
A cumulative history of analytical results of groundwater sampling is provided in Table 2. The
laboratory report from 22 March 1990, when only MW2 could be sampled, is provided as
Appendix A. A well sampling field form from 22 March 1990 for MW2 is included in Appendi
B.
3. PLANNED ACTIVITIES
All wells will continue to be gauged quarterly for depth to water and/or depth to bottom using an
optical interface probe. EA will be prepared to purge and sample any wells which contain
enough water to sample.
Late 1990--EA has written a work plan to construct two deeper wells which would extend into a
deeper aquifer to provide information on the vertical extent of contamination under the site
(Figures I and 2).
c66r)1 91 sn-90rytr 1
