Samples were collected using;a 2:54Mh <br /> outside diameter(O.D.) split spoon Sampler.lined with three 2•10ch diameter by 6•inch long brass sample <br /> tubes. The sampler was driven 18 inches ahead of the augers at each sample point. Sod samples were field <br /> screened using a pholo•ionizalion detector(PID). one sample from every frve-foot i,.ervai was sealed Mth <br /> aluminum fool,capped,taped,labeled, placed on ice in an insulated contair*er and delivered to a State Of <br /> C.;lifornia•eentfied laboratory. <br /> Nine sod samples from the depth Interval of 16 to 71 toot were selected for analysts. Each sample <br /> was analyzed for benzene, toluene, ethylbenzene and xylenes (BTEX). and TPH-G by Environmental <br /> Protection Agency(EPA).approved methods 5Q30/8020J8015.
