45 E Harding Way, Stockton, Caldomia March 14, 1994 <br /> Chevron USA Products Company Page 6 <br /> until visibly clear The development water was transferred to a DOT-approved purge water trader and <br /> transported to the Chevron refinery in Richmond, Calffomia for recycling <br /> 35 Groundwater Monitoring <br /> On January 26, 1994, monitoring wells MW-9 through MW-14 and MW-2R were gauged from <br /> top-of-casing to determine the static water level and thickness of any separate-phase hydrocarbons (SP), <br /> If present Monitoring wells MW-3 through MW-5 could not be opened, and MW-7 and MW-8 were dry <br /> The water table level was measured using an ORS Environmental Equipment INTERFACE PROBEF" Well <br /> Monitoring System, consisting of a dual optical sensor and electrical conductivity probe, that <br /> distinguishes between water and petroleum products <br /> 36 Groundwater Sampling <br /> Monitoring wells MW-9 through MW-14 and MW-2R were sampled January 26, 1994 during the <br /> scheduled quarterly monitoring and sampling event Prior to sampling, the wells were purged of <br /> approximately three well casing volumes or until pH, conductivity and temperature had stabilized in the <br /> purged groundwater Field data sheets with data recorded prior to sampling are included in <br /> Appendix D The groundwater samples were collected using a teflon sampler cleaned with detergent <br /> and distilled water Prior to the collection of the water samples, a distilled water rinsate blank was <br /> collected from the teflon sampler to document the cleanliness of the sampler A distilled water field <br /> I <br /> blank was also collected prior to sampling to document ambient sampling conditions Each sample was <br /> labeled and placed on ice in an insulated container for delivery to Superior Precision Analytical <br /> Laboratory in Martinez, California under chain-of-custody manifest The samples were analyzed for BTEX <br /> and TPH-G by EPA methods 5030/8020/modified 8015 Purge water generated during the sampling <br /> process was stored in a DOT-approved purge water trader and transported to the Chevron refinery in <br /> Richmond, California for recycling <br /> GROUNDWATER <br /> 4095suM aPr E21!
