(AGE) collected soil samples from the former <br /> underground storage tank(UST) area and one ground water sample from monitoring well KP-3 at <br /> 2025 West Hazelton Avenue, Stockton, California. The purpose of the sampling was to assess for <br /> petroleum hydrocarbon-impacted soil and/or groundwater resulting from the former operation of <br /> USTs at the site. <br /> The location of the site is illustrated on Figure 1. A plan view of the site, showing prominent <br /> structures and sampling locations, is illustrated on Figure 2. <br /> BACKGROUND <br /> The site is located in an industrial area of west Stockton, in the Port of Stockton (Figure 1), <br /> immediately west of the intersection of West Hazelton Avenue and Ventura Avenue. A large <br /> warehouse structure is located on the property,as well as loading docks,a truck scale and water tank. <br /> The major portion of the site is unpaved. <br /> AGE has been informed that two USTs were removed from the site in September 1989. The USTs <br /> were located near the entrance to the facility. The approximate locations of the former USTs are <br /> shown on Figure 2. <br /> At the time of UST removal,two soil samples were collected from the floor of the UST excavation. <br /> Total petroleum hydrocarbons quantified as diesel (TPH-d)were reported in one soil sample at 62 <br /> milligrams per kilogram (mg/kg).
