GEO-PHASE
ENVIRONMENTAL
February 6, 1998PAYMENT
RECEIvEO
Proposal No.: 162.2
Project Name: Valley Peterbilt(Taylor Court) FEB " 9 1998
Mr. John Phillips ENVIR NMENTqIN
N,STMCoU
Interstate Truck Center
PO Box 6463
Stockton, CA 95206
Re: Work Plan: Soil Boring Installation and Sampling
Location: 641 S. Harrison Street, CA
Dear Mr. Phillips:
Geo-Phase Environmental Inc. conducted a Phase I Environmental Site Assessment
(ESA) on the subject Property. The Phase I ESA documented the presence of a
three chambered oil water separator, on the Property. The separator serves a
steam cleaning area located near the south wall of the shop building. Pursuant to
the recommendations of the Phase I report, Geo-Phase Environmental Inc. is
pleased to submit the Work Plan which describes methods and protocols to be used
to install soil borings to investigate environmental conditions of the soil in the
vicinity of the oil water separator and steam cleaning rinseate drain.
SITE BACKGROUND
The subject site has historically been used by EY Mitchler Co., the Property owner,
as a truck storage and service yard. The Property is being considered for purchase
by Interstate Truck Center.
The Property is mostly paved with concrete and has one building located on it (see
site map for additional information). The building, a steel shop structure was
constructed in 1984. Adjacent to the south wall of the shop building is a steam
cleaning area. The steam cleaning rinseate is drained by a single drain in the
concrete catchment area. The drain conducts rinseate along a short pipe run to a
three chambered oil water separator. The separator chambers are concrete vaults
that appear to be approximately cubic in shape, and has dimensions of about 4 feet
per each dimension. The vaults are buried about two feet and access is via 24 inch
concrete culvert pipe with steel man-hole covers providing entrance.
2937 Veneman Ave.,#B240 Geo-Phase Environmental Inc.
