Hildreth Lane RO#0001592
Stockton, CA. 95212 PR#: 523204
San Joaquin County Environmental Health Department (SJCEHD) has reviewed
Limited Site Assessment Work Plan (Septic Tank Area) submitted by your
consultant, Advanced GeoEnvironmental Inc (AGE) on December 9, 2004 and
has the following comments.
The proposal is in response to SJCEHD requirements to evaluate the possible
impact to soil and ground water in the septic system area as a result of the
clandestine drug lab activity and chemical impact to the septic tank at this site.
On November 17, 2004, a representative of the SJCEHD inspected the septic
tank after it was pumped and cleaned and allowed to dry. The septic tank was
intact and no evidence of cracks or damage was noted. The septic tank will not
require repairs or replacement at this time. After the leach line investigation has
been completed, SJCEHD will notify you if the septic system may be permitted to
be used again or further investigation/remediation is required.
The work plan calls for collecting soils every twenty (20) linear feet from each of
the two 85-foot long leach lines in the native soil 1-2 feet under the leach rock. In
addition, soil sample collection is proposed every five (5)vertical feet to 25 feet
below grade at the septic pits located at the end of each leach line.
SJCEHD will not require the soil every 5-feet vertically at each pit to be sampled.
The 25-foot below surface grade sample is the only soil sample required at this
time from each of the two pits.
The chemical analyses protocol included in the work plan is acceptable to
SJCEHD. Please submit a Well Permit Application Form and fee immediately.
SJCEHD will advise when the permit is issued and will be present during the
drilling and grouting activities.
