I amounts of toluene. Both constituents were present in <br /> 2 concentrations well below the drinking water standard. <br /> 3 During the week of October 81 1990, SG&D conducted a <br /> 4 supplemental site assessment at the site, which included. the <br /> 5 advancement of four drill holes to depths ranging from 30-90 feet <br /> 6 below the ground surface-. SG&D was unable to install a proper <br /> 7 groundwater monitoring well at the site but collected a water <br /> 8 sample from one of the bora holes. Neither the soil cuttings <br /> 9 from the four bdre holes nor the groundwater sample contained <br /> to detectible- :concentrations of hydrocarbon contamination. <br /> 1Z By letter to. Color Spot dated April 2, 1993, the Health <br /> 12 Department indicated thot notwithstanding the clean closure, <br /> 13 color Spot must submit a work plan providing for .(1) the <br /> 14 investi:gation: o.f the vertical extent of the contamination in the <br /> is tan* excavation and (2): the installation of three monitoring <br /> 16 wells at the site.
