Memo From the Desk of LINDA TURKATTE
RENS
To: DIANE HINSON
i
Date- MARCH 31,, 1995
Subject: COLOR SPOT 5400 E HARNEY LAME
i
I
The following are recommendations for the sampling of the wells at the above
noted site:
Monitoring well 'MW#1 should be checked to determine if it currently
contains water. If water is in the well, the well should be redeveloped.
After proper redevelopment, the well should be purged and sampled as per
regular protocol (see attached sampling recommendations).
* The pump on the nearest domestic well should be removed prior to collecting
a sample from the well. Purging of this well would be difficult and, as this
well is currently in use, purging is not recommended. The sample from this
well should be obtained as per regular protocol.
The samples should be analyzed for all constituents of concern: TPH as
gasoline, TPH as diesel, and BTEX. The laboratory should follow the
quality control/quality assurance protocol as required by the Department of
Health Services, should provide a complete report, including the QC/QA data
and any abnormalities or interferences observed.
