Box 2009
Stockton, CA 95201
RE: Underground Storage Tank Cleanup: Site#8478
Dear W. Knoll:
This letter is in follow up to our meeting yesterday at our office. We agreed to continue
our progress in moving toward closure of our underground storage tank site. With your
help we mapped out the steps that are now necessary to achieve this goal.
We have contacted Advanced GeoEnvironmental,Inc. in Stockon to design a new work
proposal including all steps necessary to determine the extent of the problem at this site.
An Invitation to bid will then be sent to at least three qualified contractors to perform this
work. Once the extent of the problem is determined a remediation plan will be put into
effect by the chosen contractor.
This initial work bid will include quarterly monitoring. In the meantime we have
suspended the current quarterly monitoring until the new bid is received. It is our
understanding that this is acceptable to your agency.
Sierra Lumber has been a productive member of this community for many years and we
plan on being in business at this site long into the future. We are committed to cleaning
up this site and look forward to working with you on this project.
Sincerely,
Robert W. Long
