' 17 September 2003
• AGE-NC Project No 98-0448
5
applying SVE to wells VW-1, VW-2 and MW-4A Remediation progress will be re-
' evaluated on a quarterly basis
• On 17 June,2003, AGE installed air-flow pressure regulators at the well-heads of AW-1
' through AW-4 and MW-4B, which will allow Independent control of air-flow to each IAS
well, and allow continuous air sparging from all 1AS wells in the IAS network Therefore,
AGE recommends continuous air sparging from IAS wells AW-1 through AW-4 and
' MW-4B
• IAS has appeared to be fairly effective in reducing petroleum concentrations to near non-
detectable levels at wells MW-1, MW-4A and MW-4B (core-area) Because the remaining
`core' area of the plume appears to be located in the area of MW-2, and because there is
presently no 1AS activity near or west of MW-2,AGE recommends augmenting the current
' SVE/IAS system with one additional 1AS and SVE wells located 5 to 10 feet west of MW-2
• Confirmation soil borings should be advanced at the site to at least 50 feet bsg to evaluate
soil and ground water clean-up progress
I7.0. LIMITATIONS
Our professional services were performed using that degree of care and skill ordinarily exercised by
environmental consultants practicing in this or similar localities The findings were based upon
analytical results provided by an independent laboratory Evaluations of the hydrogeologic
I conditions at the site for the purpose of this Investigation were made from a limited number of
available data points (I a soil-gas samples and monitoring well ground water samples), and
subsurface conditions may vary away from these data points No other warranty, expressed or
' implied, is made as to the professional interpretations, opinions and recommendations contained in
this report
I j
{
1
I -
I - Advanced GeoEnvironmental,Inc
r
