Quarterly Report - June 1999 <br /> SIERRA LUMBER <br /> I 375 West Hazelton Avenue, Stockton, California <br /> 10. INTRODUCTION <br /> Advanced GeoEnvironmental, Inc (AGE)has prepared this Quarterly Report for ground water well <br /> installation and ground water monitoring and sampling activities at 375 West Hazelton Avenue <br /> (site), Stockton, California The location of the site is Illustrated in Figure 1, general features at the <br /> site are Illustrated in Figure 2 <br /> The scope of work of this Investigation Included Installation of one ground water monitoring well <br /> with the objective of assessing and monitoring subsurface impact of petroleum hydrocarbons, one <br /> ground water extraction well was installed at the site with the objective of performing a ground water <br /> pump test This report is prepared in accordance with guidelines established by the San Joaquin <br /> County Public Health Services - Environmental Health Division (PHS-EHD) and by the Central <br /> Valley Regional Water Quality Control Board for investigation of underground storage tank(UST) <br /> sites A summary of previous investigations at the site was included in Report 4`h Quarterly <br /> Monitoring, dated 21 November 1997, prepared by John P Cummings & Associates <br /> lie 2 0. PROCEDURES <br /> In June 1999, ground water monitoring well MW-8 and ground water extraction well EW-I were <br /> Installed at the site, soil sampling and ground water monitoring and sampling activities were <br /> performed at each new well location Soil sampling and ground water monitoring and sampling <br /> procedures for the site were outlined In Remedial InvestigationlFeasiblility Study Work Plan, dated <br /> 02 March 1999 prepared by AGE and approved by the PHS-EHD by letter dated 07 April 1999 <br /> 21 INSTALLATION OF GROUND WATER WELLS <br /> On 11 June 1999, two soil borings/ground water wells (MW-8 and EW-1) were advanced at the site <br /> as part of site assessment and remedial feasibility study activities Soil borings MW-8 was advanced _ <br /> vertically to a depth of 35 feet below surface grade (bsg), EW-I was advanced vertically to a depth <br /> of 45 feet bsg Soil borings MW-8 and EW-I were advanced utilizing a CME-75 high-torque, truck- <br /> mounted drill rig equipped with 8-Inch and 15-inch diameter hollow-stem augers Soil cuttings were <br /> rstockpiled on and covered by plastic sheeting in a west portion of the site in an area lacking public <br /> access The soil boring/ground water well locations are depicted in Figure 2 <br />' Adoa?rced GeoEnNiron mental,Inc <br /> I <br />
