3 <br /> 15 February 2000 <br /> AGE-NC Project No 98-0448 <br /> Page 5 of 33 <br /> Based on a map entitled Water System 4Stockton, published by Cal-Water in 1996, municipal water <br /> well Station No 73 (1)was located approximately 1,000 feet northwest of the site near the northwest <br /> intersection of Hamson Street and Church Street A second-Cal-Water municipal water well Station <br /> I 37 (15) was located approximately 2,200 feet southeast of the site at the northeast intersection of <br /> Anderson Street and Center Street The map did not indicate any other municipal wells maintained <br /> by the City of Stockton or Cal Water located within 2,000 feet of the site <br /> Representatives of AGE performed a reconnaissance of visually observable potential receptors <br /> within a 2,000-foot radius of the above referenced site (Figure 3) Cal-Water's Station No 73, a <br /> municipal drinking water well (1)was observed at the northwest intersection of Harrison Street and <br /> Church Street Two monitoring wells (6 and 7) were observed at an office of the City of Stockton <br /> Fire Department,between 50 and 150 feet southeast of the intersection of Sonora Street and Madison <br /> IStreet and approximately 1,000 feet northeast of the site Five monitoring wells (8, 9, 10, 11 and 12) <br /> were located between 1,100 and 1,300 feet east-northeast of the site, near the intersection of <br /> Commerce Street and Hazelton Avenue One observation well (4)was located approximately 1,200 <br /> feet northeast of the site on Church Street between Commerce Street and Center Street One <br /> observation well (5) was located approximately 1,500 feet northeast of the site on Church Street <br /> between Commerce Street and El Dorado Street One irrigation water well (2) was located <br /> approximately 2,200 feet southwest of the site on Anderson Street between Harrison Street and <br /> Stockton Street Eight observation wells (13 and 14) were located approximately 2,000 feet north- <br /> northeast of the site on Washington Street between Center Street and Madison Street Twelve <br /> monitoring wells (3)were located at the Stockton Plating facility (632 S El Dorado Street) Iocated <br /> approximately 1,900 feet east of the site No other visible potential receptors were noted during the <br />' reconnaissance <br /> A representative of AGE conducted a search at the California Department of Water Resources <br />' (DWR) of well drillers reports for water wells located in the surrounding area Drillers reports for <br /> water wells located within a 2,000-foot radius were found for a municipal water well (16) located <br /> at Columbus Park near the intersection of Worth Street and Lincoln Street, located approximately <br />' 1,000 feet south of the site <br />' Figure 3 depicts the approximate location of all water wells located during the well search within <br /> a 2,000 foot radius of the site, a summary of all receptors located during the well survey are <br /> summarized in Table 10 Copies of the well driller's reports researched at DWR are included with <br />' Appendix B <br />' 2 6 SOIL CHARACTERIZATION <br /> On 29 July 1998,two soil samples (MW4-25 and MW4-45)were submitted for laboratory analysis <br /> Advanced GeoEn%tronmental,Inc <br />
