f <br />' Quarterly Report - First Quarter 2005 <br /> • SIERRA LUMBER <br />' 375 West Hazelton Avenue, Stockton, California <br />' 1.0. INTRODUCTION <br /> At the request of Mr Bob Long of Sierra Lumber, Advanced GeoEnvironmental, Inc (AGE) has <br />' prepared this quarterly report documenting the procedures and results for the first quarter 2005 <br /> ground water monitoring event performed at 375 West Hazelton Avenue, Stockton, California(the <br />' site), the report also documents December 2004 through March 2005 progress of the in-situ air <br /> sparging(IAS)and soil vapor extraction(SVE)recovery system The objectives of the site activities <br /> were to monitor dissolved petroleum hydrocarbon concentrations in ground water,to assess ground <br />' water flow direction and gradient, and to monitor the progress and effectiveness of SVE and IAS <br /> remediation at the site The site setting is illustrated on Figure 1 Site structures and monitoring well <br /> locations are depicted on Figure 2 <br />' This report has been prepared in accordance with guidelines issued by the California Regional Water <br /> Quality Control Board-Central Valley Region(RWQCB)for investigation of underground storage <br />' tank (UST) sites Analytical data for ground water and soil-gas vapor acquired to date is included <br /> in this report <br />' The following is a brief summary of site assessment and SVE/IAS remediation activities performed <br /> at the site between 22 December 2004 and 08 March 2005 (First Quarter 2005) <br />' • Between 22 December 2004 and 08 March 2005 - Continued SVE remediation selectively <br /> utilizing on-site SVE wells(VW-1,VW-2 and VW-6),extracted a total of approximately 53 <br /> pounds of petroleum hydrocarbons from the subsurface <br />' • 18 January 2005 - Monthly monitoring event performed on SVE/IAS remediation system <br />' • 16 February 2005 - Monthly monitoring event performed on SVE/IAS remediation system <br /> • 08 March 2005 - Monthly monitoring event performed on SVE/IAS remediation system <br />' 24 March 2005 - Quarterly ground water monitoring event (First Quarter 2005) performed <br /> at wells MW-1, MW-2, MW-4A, MW-4B, MW-6 and MW-8 <br />' 2.0. GROUND WATER MONITORING AND SAMPLING PROCEDURES <br />' On 24 March 2005, ground water monitoring and sampling was performed at the site on selected <br /> ground water monitoring wells Ground water monitoring and sampling procedures for the site were <br /> I outlined in Remedial Investigation/Feasibility Study Work Plan, dated 02 March 1999,prepared by <br /> AGE and approved by the San Joaquin County Environmental Health Department (SJCEHD) by <br />' Advanced GeoEnvironmental,Inc <br /> I <br />
