Quarterly Report - First and Second Quarters 2004 <br /> SIERRA LUMBER <br />' 375 West Hazelton Avenue, Stockton, California <br />' 1.0. INTRODUCTION <br /> At the request of Mr Bob Long of Sierra Lumber, Advanced GeoEnvironmental, Inc (AGE) has <br />' prepared this quarterly report for 375 West Hazelton Avenue (the site), Stockton, California The r <br /> objectives detailed in this quarterly report were to monitor for the presence ofpetroleum hydrocarbon <br />' in ground water,to assess ground water flow direction and gradient and to monitor the operation and <br /> effectiveness of soil vapor extraction(SVE)and in-situ air sparing(IAS)remediation at the site This <br /> report has been prepared in accordance with guidelines issued by the California Regional Water <br />' Quality Control Board-Central Valley Region(RWQCB)for investigation of underground storage <br /> tank(UST)sites Analytical data for ground water acquired to date is included in this report The site <br /> setting is illustrated on Figure I Site structures and monitoring well locations are depicted on <br />' Figure 2 <br /> As part of the rebound response test conducted between 29 December 2003 and 28 January 2004, <br />' the First Quarter 2004 ground water monitoring event was performed at the site on 28 January 2004, <br /> the results of the 28 January 2004 ground water monitoring event were previously reported in <br /> Quarterly Report -Fourth Quarter 2003, dated 26 February 2004 <br /> One additional SVE well (VW-6) and one additional IAS well(AW-5)wereinstalled at the site on <br /> 13 May 2004 to augment remediation efforts near the "core" area of petroleum hydrocarbon- <br /> impacted soil and ground water Results of the well installations are detailed in this report <br /> The following is a brief summary of site assessment and SVE remediation activities performed at <br />' the site between 28 January and 02 July 2004 (First/Second Quarters 2004) <br />' - Between 28 January and 22 June 2004 - Continued SVE remediation selectively utilizing <br /> on-site SVE wells (VW-1 through VW-6 and MW-4A), extracted a total of approximately <br /> 108 pounds of petroleum hydrocarbons from the subsurface <br />' - 23 February 2004-Monthly monitoring event performed on SVE/IAS remediation system <br /> -0 10 March 2004-Monthly monitoring event performed on SVE/1AS remediation system Due - - - <br /> to repairs of the underground remediation piping system and the ball-valve at MW-4A, the <br /> SVE/IAS remediation system was temporanly shut-down on 10 March 2004 <br /> 20 April 2004 - Repairs to SVE/IAS remediation system completed, the SVE/IAS <br /> Iremediation systemt was re-started on 20 April 2004 <br /> 27 April 2004 - Monthly monitoring event performed on SVE/IAS remediation system <br /> Advanced CeoEnvironmental,Inc <br /> I ' <br />
