8 46 Page 2 of 2
June 2007: QM event; TPH-g detected from MW-9 at 100,000 ug/I, MW-10 at 170 ug/I, MW-14 at 4,600 ug/I
and MW-15 at 140,000 ug/l; ground water flow direction towards W-SW at gradient 0.007.
Soil is vertically undefined at MW-9 and MW-15; ground water is vertically undefined south and
east of the former UST area. However, prior to installing additional ground water monitoring wells,
I would like to get a handle on the geology, and to determine how deep the gas-impact migrated.
Therefore, I think it appropriate to prepare a work plan for CPT borings at this time. I would like to
propose four CPT borings to depths of at least 100 feet. CPT borings should be located (1) in
former UST area near MW-15, (2)50' east of former UST area, (3) 30'-40'south-southeast of well
MW-14 and (4)60-70 feet northeast of former UST area between wells MW-9 and MW-13.
Let me know what you think......if you agree, I can prepare a work plan and get started.
