A jla ound water
sample may be collected from each boring.
' Proposed boring locations maybe modified due to field observations.Proposed boring locations are
illustrated in Figure 2.Fieldprocedures for advancement ofborings and collection of soil and ground
' water samples are presented in Sections 4.1, 4.2.and 4.3.
Selected soil and ground water samples from each boring will be submitted for laboratory analysis.
' The selected samples will be analyzed by a State of California Department of Health Services
(DHS)-certified laboratory for one or more the following constituents:
' • Total petroleum hydrocarbons quantified as gasoline (TPH-g) in accordance with EPA
Method 8015M; and
' • Volatile organic compounds,including benzene,toluene,ethylbenzene and xylenes(BTEX),
and methyl tertiary-butyl ether(MTBE) in accordance with EPA Method 8260M. ok 1
' Laboratory reports for soil and ground water analyses, testing methods, laboratory quality
assurance/quality control (QA/QC) reports, and sample chain of custody documentation will be
' presented in a report with findings and recommendations.
t3.3. MONITORING WELL INSTALLATION, DEVELOPMENT AND SURVEY
The pilot borings will be completed as single-level ground water monitoring wells screened from
' approximately 18 to 38 feet bsg. Following installation, each well will be developed to maximize
water flow and minimize the amount of fine-grained sediment drawn into the well during pumping
or bailing, and the top of each existing and newly installed well casing(well head)will be surveyed
' to determine its elevation relative to mean sea level.Procedures for well installation, development
and survey are presented in Sections 4.2. and 4.3.,respectively.
' Advanced GeoEnvironmental,Inc.
1
