1 0 INTRODUCTION <br /> Holly operates a sugar <br /> o y Sugar Corporation (Holly) d b a Spreckels Sugar Company (Spreckels) op <br /> packaging and distribution facility in Tracy, California The Tracy facility is located <br /> approximately one mile north of the City of Tracy Continuing operations at the facility include <br /> handling, packaging, and loading of sugar Groundwater quality at two former underground <br /> storage tank (UST) locations has been periodically monitored by Spreckels during recent years <br /> The two former UST locations being monitored are referred to as Site B, the former gasoline <br /> UST located near the Tare Lab, and the former fuel oil bunker site (Bunker), located near the <br /> aboveground storage tanks (Figure 1) <br /> 1 Additional investigation was requested by the San Joaquin County Public Health Services <br /> Environmental Health Division (San Joaquin County) to evaluate potential site closure actions <br /> TnHydro Corporation (TriHydro) recently completed soil and groundwater quality investigation <br /> down gradient of Site B and the Bunker The additional soil and groundwater samples were <br /> collected in October 2003, following protocols set forth in the work plan submitted to San <br /> Joaquin County on October 13,2003 Soil and groundwater samples were submitted to BSK <br /> Analytical Laboratories for analyses <br /> I <br /> s� <br /> 1-1 <br /> H 4ProjedslSPreckelslTrecyT-ine1114RPT doc <br />
