As we discussed, IT Corporation (IT)proposes
to modify the existing quarterly groundwater monitoring program at the site.
Over the7'past'fo ir'quarters*of'groundwater sainplilig; concentrations of gasoline hydrocarbons
have decreased rapidly to below detection limits in all five wells. This decrease may be-due in
part sto risinggroundwaterelevations to above the screened interval of the wells. To evaluate
this possibiliry"IT proposes to sample groundwater from two vapor extraction wells located in
close prokirn ty to`the former underground storage tank. These wells are screened from 35 to
70 feet below ground surface (bgs) and would be ideal for evaluating groundwater conditions
at the current depth-to-groundwater of approximately 50 feet bgs. IT recommends that these
vapor extraction wells be sampled once and the results evaluated prior to establishing any
additional groundwater sampling requirements at the site.
Thank you for your assistance in-this case. If you approve of the approach outlined above,
please provide documentation-to the property owner's 'representative, Mr. Al Vigil, so that
reimbursement-from the State Water Resources-,Control Board can be secured. If you-have
f questions or need any additional information, please call me at (916) 361-7673.
°a
Sincerely,
IT CORPORATION
Joseph'Ramage,' A:G.
Proje.U'Manager
cc': Mr: All Vigil- San Joaquin Catholic'Celnetery>
IT Corpo=hon is a wholly owned suhmchm y of Internabonal Technology Corporation
J
