3.0 CONCLUSIONS, RECOMMENDATIONS AND PROJECT STATUS
Between March 21, and June 30, 2005, the groundwater surface beneath the site rose an average
' of 1 91 feet The groundwater gradient configured using the shallow-constructed wells decreased
from 0 00162 to 0 00057 foot/foot, and the gradient using the deep-constructed wells decreased
from 0 00415 to 0 00348 foot/foot The groundwater flow direction remained relatively consistent
' toward the northeast
Groundwater from Irrigation Well #2 did not contain detectable concentrations of any of the
gasoline compounds analyzed Groundwater collected from Irrigation Well#2 has been free of
gasoline compounds for 21 consecutive quarters
Between March 21, and June 30, 2005, the concentrations of gasoline compounds in the
groundwater monitoring wells generally decreased As shown on Figure 6, MTBE in groundwater
appears to be limited to the groundwater table to the northeast (downgradient) of the former UST
' Based on these groundwater monitoring and sampling results, the plume of impacted groundwater
appears to be stable and defined to the area immediately downgradlent of the former UST Despite
the proximity of irrigation water supply wells in the area, no sensitive receptors appear to be
threatened by the concentrations of gasoline compounds in groundwater beneath the site
Based on these conclusions, Ramage Environmental recommends that San Joaquin County EHD
and RWQCB consider this case for regulatory closure Until the case is closed, or unless otherwise
directed by EHD, the monitoring well network will continue to be monitored and sampled on a
quarterly basis
1
7
1
