QUARTERLY MONITORING REPORT <br /> SECOND QUARTER 1996 <br /> San Joaquin Catholic Cemetery <br /> ' Harding Way and Cemetery Lane <br /> Stockton, California <br /> INTRODUCTION <br /> 1 <br /> On April 26, 1996 groundwater monitoring and sampling was performed at the above-referenced <br /> ' site The site is located approximately one mile north of downtown Stockton, California (Figure 1) <br /> ' GROUNDWATER GRADIENT <br /> Depth-to-groundwater measurements were taken in all five monitoring wells to evaluate <br /> groundwater flow and gradient characteristics The depth-to-groundwater at the site ranged from <br /> 46 94 to 48 50 feet below ground surface The elevation of the groundwater surface beneath the <br /> ' site ranged from a high of 29 94 feet below mean sea level (msl) in MW-1 to a low of 30 53 feet <br /> below msl in MW-2 Groundwater levels have risen an average of 5 95 feet since the last <br /> ' monitoring event on January 9, 1996 Groundwater monitoring data are summarized in Table 1 <br /> ' The groundwater flow direction and gradient are illustrated on the groundwater surface map <br /> (Figure 2) The maximum groundwater gradient was calculated at 0 005 ftlft in an easterly <br /> direction This is relatively consistent with previous quarterly monitoring results <br /> GROUNDWATER SAMPLING AND ANALYSES <br /> Each monitoring well was purged of at least three well volumes using a decontaminated <br /> submersible pump Sample Information Forms documenting well monitoring, purging and sampling <br /> data are included as Attachment 1 <br /> 1 <br /> 1 <br />
