QUARTERLY MONITORING REPORT <br /> FOURTH QUARTER 1995 <br /> ' San Joaquin Catholic Cemetery <br /> Harding Way and Cemetery Lane <br /> Stockton, California <br /> INTRODUCTION <br /> 1 <br /> On October 30, 1995 groundwater monitoring and sampling was performed at the above- <br /> referenced site The site is located approximately one mile north of downtown Stockton, <br /> California (Figure 1) <br /> GROUNDWATER GRADIENT <br /> Depth-to-groundwater measurements were taken a en rn all five monitoring wells to evaluate <br /> groundwater flow and gradient characteristics The depth-to-groundwater at the site ranged from <br /> 56 25 to 57 47 feet below ground surface The elevation of the groundwater surface beneath <br /> the site ranged from a high of 38 16 feet below mean sea level (msl) in MW-5 to a low of 40 06 <br /> feet below msl in MW-4 Groundwater levels have risen an average of 0 57 feet since the last <br /> monitoring event on July 25, 1995 Groundwater monitoring data are summarized in Table 1 <br /> The groundwater flow direction and gradient have shifted significantly since the last monitoring <br /> event in July 1995 These groundwater flow characteristics are illustrated on the groundwater <br /> surface map (Figure 2) The maximum groundwater gradient was calculated at 0 0238 ft/ft in <br /> an easterly direction <br /> GROUNDWATER SAMPLING AND ANALYSES <br /> Each monitoring well was purged of at least three well volumes using a decontaminated <br /> submersible pump Sample Information Forms documenting well monitoring, purging and <br /> Asampling data are included as Attachment 1 <br />
