QUARTERLY MONITORING REPORT
FOURTH QUARTER 1995
' San Joaquin Catholic Cemetery
Harding Way and Cemetery Lane
Stockton, California
INTRODUCTION
1
On October 30, 1995 groundwater monitoring and sampling was performed at the above-
referenced site The site is located approximately one mile north of downtown Stockton,
California (Figure 1)
GROUNDWATER GRADIENT
Depth-to-groundwater measurements were taken a en rn all five monitoring wells to evaluate
groundwater flow and gradient characteristics The depth-to-groundwater at the site ranged from
56 25 to 57 47 feet below ground surface The elevation of the groundwater surface beneath
the site ranged from a high of 38 16 feet below mean sea level (msl) in MW-5 to a low of 40 06
feet below msl in MW-4 Groundwater levels have risen an average of 0 57 feet since the last
monitoring event on July 25, 1995 Groundwater monitoring data are summarized in Table 1
The groundwater flow direction and gradient have shifted significantly since the last monitoring
event in July 1995 These groundwater flow characteristics are illustrated on the groundwater
surface map (Figure 2) The maximum groundwater gradient was calculated at 0 0238 ft/ft in
an easterly direction
GROUNDWATER SAMPLING AND ANALYSES
Each monitoring well was purged of at least three well volumes using a decontaminated
submersible pump Sample Information Forms documenting well monitoring, purging and
Asampling data are included as Attachment 1
