The laboratory analyzed the groundwater samples for Total Petroleum Hydrocarbons (TPH)-as-
gasoline, benzene, toluene, ethylbenzene, xylenes (BTEX) and methyl tertiary butyl ether
(MTBE) by modified EPA Method 801518020. The laboratory reports and chain-of-custody
documents are included as Appendix A.
Analytical results of the groundwater samples indicate that dissolved concentrations of gasoline
hydrocarbons mcontinue to exist in groundwater beneath the site. Groundwater sampled from
} VW-2 contained 4,200 parts per billion (ppb) of TPH-as-gasoline, 470 ppb of benzene and 1,000
ppb of MTBE. Groundwater sampled from VW-1, MW-6 and MW-7 did not contain detectable
concentrations of TPH-as-gasoline or BTEX. MTBE was detected in VW-1 at a concentration of
20 ppb. MTBE was not detected in MW-6 and MW-7. The current and historical analytical
{ results are summarized in Table 2.
F
r
R
1
I
d
III
E 4
4
