Weber Street, Third Floor
Stockton, CA 95202
Subject: Workplan for Supplemental Subsurface Investigation at Eggiman's Hydraulic
Garage at 1112 East Harding Way, Stockton, California
Dear Ms. Oz:
ATC Associates Inc., on behalf of Eggiman, Andrew and Edith Trust, has prepared this work
plan for performing a supplemental subsurface investigation at the above referenced site. This
work is required by the San Joaquin County Public Health Services, Environmental Health
Division (PHS/EHD) as described in their correspondence dated February 11, 2000.
The scope of work will include advancing one soil boring, soil and groundwater sample
collection and analysis, and preparing a summary report. The scope of work is described in
detail in the following paragraphs.
SITE LOCATION
The site is located on the south side of East Harding Way in Stockton, California, as shown on
Figure 1. The property is located in a mixed residential, commercial, and industrial area. The
site is currently occupied by a hydraulic repair facility.
BACKGROUND
Previous Investizations
In April 1987, SEMCO removed and disposed of two 1,000-gallon regular gasoline underground
storage tanks (USTs), associated piping, and fuel dispenser from the locations shown on Figure
2. A soil sample was collected from the end of each tank at approximately 17 feet below ground
surface. Analytical testing indicated the collected samples contained detectable concentrations of
petroleum hydrocarbon constituents. The excavation was subsequently backfilled to the ground
isurface. Soil sample results are summarized in Table 1.
wA920541reportslwkp-boring.doe I
