Installation of three shallow monitoring wells off site and collection of soil and water samples. <br /> 3. Laboratory analysis of soil and water samples for total petroleum hydrocarbons as gasoline,BTEX, <br /> volatile organic compounds and lead scavengers. <br /> COMMENTS AND CONDITIONS: <br /> 1. A sufficient number of soil samples must be collected and analyzed from each of the four borings to <br /> provide the data to show the lateral and vertical extent of soil contamination above and below <br /> groundwater. <br /> 2. The geoprobe boring logs indicate clay soil at 20 feet below surface grade. The extent of this clay layer <br /> should be determined and the deep monitoring well screen interval should be placed in the next water <br /> bearing none. <br /> 3. The proposed locations for the shallow off site monitoring wells are 500 to 700 feet away from the release <br /> site existing monitoring wells and 300 to 400 feet from the January 2001 geoprobe locations. PHS/EHD <br /> recommends moving at least one of the proposed monitoring well locations to the area of GP8. <br /> 4.
