Soil and groundwater samples collected at the site evidence <br /> petroleum contamination. Additional work will be necessary at this site tt>monitor and evaluate <br /> the groundwater: <br /> Monitoring Wells(N4WS) should be constructed at the site to evaluate the groundwater <br /> conditions quarterly and establish the groundwater gradient. MW s should be screened at an <br /> interval representative of the affected groundwater. Groundwater samples should be analyzed <br /> quarterly for Total Petroleum Hydrocarbons as diesel by EPA;Method 8015,Benzene,Toluene; <br /> Ethylbenzene and Xylene by EPA Method 8020 and '{oxygenates by EPA Method 8250. <br /> A receptor survey ofdomestic,municipal, agricultural, industrial and any:other wells within <br /> 2,000 feet radius of this site should be conducted. Contact the Department of Water Resources, <br /> municipal suppliers and any nearby industries to search for wells. Perform a physical search of <br /> the area to locate wells or outer receptor risks. Show locations of any conduits. Show locations <br /> of all wells, provide any known construction details and evaluate any humping influence with <br /> respect to the possibility of contaminant migration and public and/or environmental health threat.. <br /> When the contaminant plume has been defined,feasibility studies should..,be conducted in order to <br /> compare at least two different remediation alternatives.
