Groundwater has dropped approximately four inches
since the last monitoring event
• Onlytwo monitoring events have been performed on the newly installed wells,
i MW0-1,MWO-2,MWO-3 and MWO-1 X The three shallow borings MWO-1
through MWO-3 were non detect for MTBE indicating that the horizontal limits
of MTBE in the shallow horizon have been defined. MW0-1X contained
elevated detections of MTBE of 470 ppb, however, this was a decrease from the
first monitoring event of 570 ppb in February 27, 2002.
1
5.0 CONCLUSIONS
Based on the above findings, Avalon concludes the following
1 Further groundwater monitoring will be necessary to determine if the decrease
in the deep monitoring well MW0-1X in this quarter is representative of
fluctuation or of a true decrease
• Further groundwater monitoring will be necessary to determine if the offsite
1 property to the north which had a detection of MTBE in this quarter has been
significancy impacted.
1
Avalon Environmental Consultants Project# 9627-001-11
Joes Truck Plaza 15600 South Harlan Road
September 30, 2002 7 Lathrop, California
1
