PRECISION
INDUSTRIES
1041 S. PERSHING AVE., STOCKTON, CALIFORNIA 95206
209/462-9911 NO. CALIF. 800/332-5900
CALIFORNIA STATE LIC.667293
INC
June 9, 1989
San Joaquin Local Health District
Environmental Health
P. 0. Box 2009
Stockton, CA 95201
Subject: Lincoln Unified School District Fueling Facility
6749 Harrisburg Place, Stockton, California
Background
Early in 1988, Lincoln Unified maintenance personnel discovered a
small fuel leak in a vent line from their #2 tank system.
Since the discovery of the problem, the soil has been onsite aerating.
Samples of the soils were collected and analyzed on March 15, 1988,
June 17, 1988 and September 16, 1988.
Enclosed you will find a copy of those three soil sample reports.
As you can see, a small amount of heavy Hydrocarbons existed at the
last sampling.
Since the September 1988 sampling, the soil has remained onsite.
The soil has been aerated as per San Joaquin Air Pollution District
guidelines.
Hence, Lincoln Unified now requests that a new sample be collected
and analyzed under EPA protocol 8015 and 8020. If Hydrocarbon values
are sufficiently low, Lincoln Unified would like to spread the soil
onsite as a means of disposal.
If you have any questions please feel free to call.
Sincerely,
PRECIS ON INDUSTRIES, INC.
Nicolas Bokides
Operations Manager
- :lilt
Enc.
