Swain Road
Stockton, CA 95207
RE: Soil Sampling Work Plan. Lincoln Unified School District; 6749
Harrisburg Place, Stockton.
The original soil sampling inspection requested will not be necessary as
Lincoln Unified School District has elected to haul the aerated soil to an
approved Landfill. However, due to our recent review of the file, we have
noted that samples from the original pipeline trench were not submitted to a
lab for analysis. Further investigation will be necessary to determine if
residual contaminants remain within the area of the pipeline leak.
A Soil Remediation report should be submitted to San Joaquin County Public
Health Services, Environmental Health Division (PHS/EHD) which addresses the
clean up activities to date at this site. Refer to enclosed Tri Regional
Board Staff Recommendation for guidance in writing this report. Proposals for
continued investigation should be included within this report. The report
should be submitted to PHS/END for review by November 10, 1989.
If you have any questions, contact Darlene Reuss, REHS, at (209 468-3450.
Jogi Khanna, M.D. , MPH
Health Officer
'Ron oti, Director
Environmental Health Division
RV/DR:ma
cc: RWQCB; Attn: G.L.
